I always think I'm going to be prepared and plan ahead for the next soccer season, but I just don't seem to get it done. Between having my own business, watching 2 kids all summer, watering the plants, taking out the dog, paying the bills, laundry, grocery shopping, reading 1,000 soccer emails, etc., I am overwhelmed. At this very moment, I feel like breathing into a paper sack. Yes, that would help.
Here is what runs through the mind of this soccer mom.
1. What am I going to feed my child?
2. What am I going to feed my family on soccer nights?
3. When are soccer nights?
4. When are games and how am I going to coordinate between my 2 children who play in different cities?
5. How am I going to afford all of the running around?
6. Is all of the soccer laundry clean?
7. Do their cleats fit them?
8. Do they have the correct color of socks for this season?
9. Can their shin guards last one more season?
10. Who carpools on what night?
11. How am I going to get my kids home from school, fed, and off to soccer practice 4 nights per week???
12. Are my husband and I going to have to split up each weekend to accommodate the different soccer game schedules in different cities?
Does anyone relate to this? Then, there are the team pictures and payments for the 2 separate clubs that my 12 year old is in and the club that my 9 year old plays for. Can I just tell you how much I have enjoyed the 2 week break?

No. I really don't love it. |
When does all of this get better? It gets better when we all help each other with tricks and things we have learned along the way. Let's share recipes, schedule ideas, chore charts, game rewards, ideas on keeping kids focused during the school year, and any other tips that will help us CRAZY Soccer Moms fight for our lives this Fall 2014.
Love to you all.
